Twinkle Loves to Have Her Picture Taken!

Wowie, wow, wow! When the kids and I got to school today we found that Twinkle had been up to some shenanigans again last night! Her antics include changing ALL of our computer backgrounds to pictures of her and then she crawled into our copiers and took pictures of herself!

I bet Santa will have a lot to say to her over the weekend.

Also, it looks like Twinkle took our letters to Santa because they weren't here when we got in today. I wonder if she'll bring them back over the weekend?

Twinkle Got Herself in a Sticky Situation

I have no idea what goes on in my classroom in the middle of the night but when we came in this morning it looked like Twinkle had quite a good time after coming back from the North Pole!

She was sitting with her friends and had gotten into my sticker stash! They were COVERED in stickers! I guess everyone loves stickers - whether you're a 7 year old human or Twinkle the Elf!

No wonder Santa sends the elves out to homes and classrooms - they are a handful!

Sequencing!

I don't know about you, but I love.love.love holiday books! Today we read Olive, the Other Reindeer and we did some comprehension and sequencing work. The other thing I love.love.love is my students' artwork! Look at these little sequence books!

Twinkle Day 3

Holy Moly! This little Twinkle is amazing!

We had a rainy morning so I didn't get to see inside the classroom until we all came in to start the day! The kids found her first and were squealing with delight.  Twinkle had climbed up on my chair and left a trail of snow and snowballs as she turned up a pail and blocks to climb to the tippy top. Then, it looks like she must have found one of our straws and some wire to make a trapeze off of our chimes! When we came in she was hanging by her legs and waving her hat!

That Twinkle sure likes to have some fun adventures!

Tonight we are leaving our Day 3 Elf Adventures writing so Twinkle can take it to Santa. I wonder what he will think of our writing!

Twinkle Day 2

Overnight Twinkle must have travelled up to the icy North Pole because when we came in this morning Twinkle had snow in her sleigh and on the reindeers.

She even wrote her name in a pile of snow! That Twinkle sure is mischievous! I wonder what she reported to Santa last night?

I do know that we had excellent homework last night - only one kiddo chose not to finish her homework! I hope everyone does their homework tonight!

Twinkle brought us some journal pages so we decided to write about her adventures!

Twinkle is Here!

Oh my goodness! Today we had a crazy morning. We had vision testing and missed recess. When we all came back to the classroom we found a special visitor and a VERY special letter!

We have an elf! That's right! We have an actual ELF!!!! Apparently, elves are sent by Santa to keep an eye on behavior and report back to Santa each night. They are excellent listeners and are always watching. I've also heard that elves love to get into mischief and go on lots of adventures when they think no one is looking!

We voted and named her Twinkle!

Twinkle is awesome - I can already tell! She brought elf chocolates for everyone!
