Summer, So Far...

Gearing up to go to Vegas for the SDE I Teach 2nd conference and the TpT conference - but thought I'd post a little picture walk through my summer, so far...

2014-2015 is in the Rearview!

Today was our last day of grade level planning for next year. I packed up my room (gotta love having sparkling floors in August) and I look forward to everything the 2015-2016 school year has in store for me!

For now though, this is the shot from my rearview and I'm so excited and so, so ready for a relaxing and productive summer!

So I still have a week of grade level planning but this was technically the first weekend of my "break". What did I do? So glad you asked...

I planted seeds that I will care for all summer long. Hello, dinner!

STEM: Spaghetti & Marshmallow Towers

Tomorrow is the last day of school, but YES - we are learning until THE LAST MINUTE! Today my students worked in pairs to engineer a tower made out of only spaghetti and marshmallows. They did a superb job on this totally student directed project!

 Today we had our final art lesson of the year and the students did an amazing job learning about Native American sand art and creating their own masterpieces!

Who is THE Favorite Member of My Class?

I know my students love me. But I am under no misapprehension - Willie is their all-time-absolute-favorite! You can see in their faces how loved Willie is...
